Red Squirrels at Formby

I am now into my third block (of eight) at Reaseheath College in Cheshire…

Yesterday, I spent some time at the National Trust’s Formby reserve in Merseyside, meeting up with the Rangers there and taking a walk around part of the reserve. Formby covers a long stretch of coastline with dramatic sand dunes, surrounded by sweeping coastal pinewoods which are recognised as one of the last strongholds of our native Red Squirrel. We took the Red Squirrel Trail and spotted some!
